The CNHA is proud to announce our new Wildlife Bus program for 2017.  We hope all of our members and visitors will come out to the refuge and participate in "Refuge Trek" as we transition to a transportation program using our CNHA Wildlife Bus.

Refuge Trek is similar in some ways to our old "Wildlife Tours" program but with some modifications to create a transportation program for the north end of the refuge.

Everyone participating in Refuge Trek will be invited to alight from the bus for wildlife spotting and photography.  Refuge Treks will be offered weekends during the early spring and late fall, with an extended schedule during June through October.

Went in the off season when the tour was free but it would be worth it to pay as well. It was a great way to see ponies and other wildlife without having to hike around on foot. The guide, Bob, was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting info about the refuge. If you want a short walk before or after the tour walk over to the lighthouse and hike up for a great view of the area!
