Junior Lighthouse Keeper

Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge Junior Lighthouse Keeper

Becoming a Junior Lighthouse Keeper is a wonderful way to spend part of your time when you visit the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge!  First, you'll have to stop by the refuge Visitor Center or the lighthouse to pick up a booklet that is filled with fun facts about the Assateague Lighthouse.  There are fun things in the booklet, too, like a word search, pictures to color, and a word scramble.  When you answer all the questions at the back of the booklet, turn it in to a Lighthouse Keeper or Lighthouse Volunteer, and they will give you a special "Junior Lighthouse Keeper" patch that shows you have visited and learned something about the Assateague Lighthouse!!

Check out the neat patch that you'll get when you finish the booklet!
