Lighthouse Celebration -- Photos Here

We celebrated three special events on Saturday October 14 -- National Wildlife Refuge week, the annual Chincoteague fall pony roundup -- plus we had a very special event this year, the sesquicentennial celebration of the Assateague Lighthouse. The U.S. Coast Guard color guard, stationed here on Chincoteague Island, started off our day with the presentation of colors along with the Star Spangled Banner sung by the Just Us singers. We enjoyed refreshments, educational displays, children's crafts and music in the lighthouse column.

CNHA Helps Support the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge

We believe our friends group is crucial to the mission of the Chincoteague Refuge, which is to conserve, protect and enhance wildlife and habitat here and in this great nation. The actions we take today determine the legacy we leave for tomorrow, but we cannot achieve our goals alone. Find out how you can help.
